Wire Sawing

Wire sawing is a new and unique technique that originated from stone quarries, where sawing very thick and deep stone is required. Many concrete structures are far too large to accommodate traditional saw cutting. In order to cut these large structures you may want to look into wire sawing. Wire sawing includes a steel cable fitted with diamond beads and a drive wheel that pulls the cable through the concrete, executing the cut with precision. This safe, cost effective procedure can be applied to structures of many depths and lengths. Wire sawing provides a number of benefits:

  • Equipment is fully portable so cuts can be performed from many positions.
  • Allow for mass concrete removal without breakage and minimizes damage to the structure.
  • Create clean, precise cuts.
  • Can cut through heavy rebar and embedded steel beams.

Wall Sawing

The term 'Wall Sawing' denotes the cutting of walls such as: Concrete walls, pits, or areas that cannot be cut or accessed by other conventional flat cutting equipment. The equipment consists of a hydraulic, air or electric motor on a frame that is attached to a track that has been mounted on a surface. The motor is fitted with varying sizes of blades to 48" enabling a cutting depth of 22". We have the capacity to run a 54" or 60" blade in certain conditions. Door openings and window openings required precise cutting dimensions to receive the enclosure frames. A wall saw is the precision cutting tool to perform this task.

The corners of an opening after wall sawing are not cut through unless the opening is cut past the connecting cut line; this is because of the use of round diamond blades. If over cutting the opening is not permissible, or a structural issue, a hydraulic chainsaw can be used to sweep the corners to a square cut.
